Contact the academic representative of the campus you applied to and change your interview date. In case of these events, please contact the university headquarters for detailed information.
9. [Admissions Screening] [Admissions Screening] Who evaluates my submitted documents? When and where does the evaluation take place? 2016-07-18
The screening process is divided into 2 stages. 
The UST head office first checks the submitted documents for any errors at the first stage. 
Committees organized at each campus by major will evaluate each applicant's study and research activity plans, grades, work experience, and more for a comprehensive evaluation of documents at the second stage.

Choose one of the following submission methods

① UST Online Admission System
- When completing the online application, enter recommender information, including their e-mail addresses
- Confirm whether your recommenders were properly able to submit their letters as only those letters submitted before the deadline will be valid

② Recommenders may submit their letters of recommendation directly via postal mail or email
- Letters submitted in this fashion must be accompanied by the UST letter of recommendation form which can be downloaded from the UST admissions website

7. [Admissions] I am currently serving as an officer in the military. What is the process for gaining admissions into UST as a military entrusted student? 2016-07-18
In order to be considered as a military entrusted student, an enrollment recommendation from the Ministry of National Defense is required. Please refer to the recruiting notice for other application requirements and required documents for special admissions.
6. [Admissions] Is it possible to apply as an overseas Korean if I graduated from a university overseas and am currently living abroad? 2016-07-18
In order to qualify as an overseas Korean applicant, you must have completed 'elementary, middle, and high school, and graduated from a university overseas that corresponds with Korea's education program.' As such, individuals who only acquired bachelor's degrees overseas cannot apply as an overseas Korean applicant.
5. [Admissions] Is it possible to apply to specific departments within the major? Are there any GPA restrictions? 2016-07-18
There are no restrictions regarding applying to specific departments within the major. There are no cut lines regarding GPA. However, please keep in mind that GPA is used as the main evaluation criteria for the applicant during the screening process.
4. [Admissions Screening] [Admissions] Am I required to submit English test scores with my application? If it is required, is it possible to defer or be exempted from submitting English test scores? 2016-07-18
Official English test scores are required. Please submit at least 1 of the following official English test scores. (Scores higher than TOEIC 730/ TEPS 630(before '18.5.11.) New TEPS(after '18.5.12.)/ TOEFL-ibt 79/ TOEFL-PBT 550 / IELTS 6.0)

Exemptions :
1. Students who have studied in universities/graduate schools where English is the main language (U.S., England, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa) for over 1 year and acquired their degrees at the relevant institutions. 
2. UST graduates (or soon to be graduates)

Deferment :
Students who have acquired their undergraduate/graduate degrees from countries and institutions that UST has designated as an English speaking environment, as well as students who have verified that they have taken all of their courses in English.
(Countries where deferment applies: 31 countries including Ghana, Cooperative Republic of Guyana, Republic of The Gambia, Nigeria, Liberia Republic, the Kingdom of Lesotho, Rwanda, Malawi Republic, Myanmar, the Republic of Vanuatu, Belize, Bhutan, Solomon Islands, Republic of the Sudan, Sri Lanka, Kingdom of Swaziland, Republic of Sierra Leone, Eritrea, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the Republic of Uganda, Republic of Zambia, Republic of Zimbabwe, Republic of Cameroon, Cambodia, Kenya, Republic of Kiribati, Tanzania, Republic of Tonga, Independent State of Papua New Guinea, Fiji, the Philippines,)

You are not required to contact your academic advisor prior to admissions. After gaining admissions, students are able to select their academic advisor during the registration period. However, it is possible to contact professors in advance in order to gain more information on life as a researcher and the academic curriculum.

Each year, the application period begins in September for March admissions, and March for September admissions. Please refer to the recruitment notice for further details.

UST is a graduate school, and therefore only operates graduate school programs (doctoral/combined/master's). As such, only individuals with bachelor's (or master's) degrees may be admitted.
